Renault Kwid is a small crossover developed as a collaboration between French car manufacturer Renault and Nissan. Launched in 2015, Renault was aimed at the Indian market before being exported to other markets including Kenya and South Africa. It is perfect for new car owners who previously relied on public service transport. The Kwid is yet to be popular in Kenya as it faces stiff competition from established brands such as the Suzuki Swift, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Atos, Datsun Go, and Toyota Starlet.
Renault Kwid Interior, Exterior, and Engine Options
The Kwid features a fresh and modern interior and comes equipped with a generous array of standard features including a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, Air Conditioning, and a Centrally-positioned 8″ Screen MediaNAV system.
The Kwid is exceptionally comfortable to drive and has ample legroom and headroom in the first row. The second-row seats are comfortable for two adults or three kids.
The Kwid offers between 279 and 620 liters of space – the latter figure is given when the rear bench seat is folded down.
The Kwid’s exterior is bold and stylish, with a beautifully sculpted front grille that highlights the Renault diamond logo. The side profile features horizontal uncluttered lines running from the front end to the rear giving it a sense of motion.
The Renault Kwid only comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine and is not available as a hybrid version.

Where to Buy the Renault Kwid in Kenya
If you are looking to buy the Renault Kwid in Kenya, importing is the best option for the following reasons:
Quality – You get to choose the best quality car. You are not at the mercy of the local dealers. Cars sold locally are usually of the lowest quality and often of high mileage.
Choice – With import, you get to dictate the choice of features that you want. You can define your preferences in greater detail such as color, upholstery, sunroof, alloy rims, etc.
Affordability – Import is much more affordable since you eliminate middlemen and brokers that exaggerate the cost of locally sold cars.
